Training Agreement for Okhaldhunga Recovery

Project Overview:
Earthquake Safety Solutions (ESS) successfully implemented a training program under Nepal’s Okhaldhunga Recovery and Resilient Program (ORRP). The project was funded by Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and implemented in collaboration with the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) and the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD).
Key Activities and Deliverables:
- Community Orientation: Conducted four community orientation activities in different locations to raise awareness about the importance of retrofitting.
- On-the-Job Training: Provided 25 days of on-the-job training to masons in five rural municipalities.
- Trained masons on retrofitting procedures and techniques.
Impact and Benefits:
- Increased awareness among the local community about the importance of retrofitting.
- Upgraded the skills of local masons in retrofitting techniques.
- Contributed to building more resilient communities by promoting retrofitting practices.
