DHL Nepal Strengthens Workplace Preparedness Through Earthquake Safety Orientation and Evacuation Drill
As part of its ongoing commitment to workplace safety and resilience, DHL Nepal, in collaboration with Earthquake Safety Solutions (ESS), successfully conducted its annual Earthquake Preparedness Orientation and Emergency Evacuation Drill for employees.
The program was designed to enhance awareness and preparedness among staff, ensuring that employees are equipped with the knowledge and practical skills required to respond effectively during earthquake emergencies and other potential hazards.
A key highlight of this year’s initiative was the development and implementation of a floor-wise Emergency Evacuation Plan, tailored to the facility’s layout and operational requirements. The evacuation plan provides clear guidance on evacuation routes, assembly points, emergency responsibilities, and procedures to be followed during an emergency situation.
To complement the orientation session, a practical evacuation drill was conducted, allowing employees to apply their learning in a realistic scenario. The exercise helped participants understand the importance of timely decision-making, coordinated evacuation, and adherence to established emergency procedures.
Through regular preparedness activities and hands-on training exercises, DHL Nepal continues to foster a culture of safety and resilience within the workplace. Such initiatives not only strengthen emergency response capabilities but also contribute to creating a safer and more confident working environment for all employees.
Earthquake Safety Solutions (ESS) is proud to support organizations like DHL Nepal in advancing disaster preparedness and promoting safer workplaces through practical, evidence-based emergency preparedness programs.
Together, we are turning preparedness into practice and building a safer, more resilient workplace.
