28th Earthquake Safety Day 2026, Promoting a Resilient Nepal
On 2 Magh 2082 (January 16, 2026), the 28th Earthquake Safety Day was observed through a ceremony commemorating the importance of earthquake preparation at Khulla Manch, Kathmandu.
This year’s slogan was: “Preparedness at all levels of government, readiness of every citizen: Earthquake-resilient Nepal is our shared responsibility.”
Earthquake Safety Solutions (ESS) actively participated in the rally, starting from Hanuman Dhoka, Basantapur, and concluding at Khulla Manch, with its dedicated team and banner. ESS also showcased a stall exhibition, highlighting its contributions over the past 12 years in reducing earthquake risks through engineering, planning, construction supervision, management programs, training, and capacity-building activities.
Through continuous efforts, ESS remains committed to promoting earthquake-safe practices, supporting the private sector, and contributing to safer communities across Nepal.
