Delegation of the European Union to Nepal Conducts DAT Training for Its Team
The Delegation of the European Union to Nepal successfully conducted a one-day Rapid Damage Assessment of Buildings (DAT 1001) training program for its team on 13 November 2025 at the Delegation premises. The training was delivered with technical support from Earthquake Safety Solutions (ESS).
The session equipped participants with essential knowledge and practical skills, including: • Identifying building systems and typologies • Distinguishing between structural and non-structural components • Recognizing various building damage patterns and grading • Understanding the meaning, use, and limitations of green, yellow, and red posting colors during rapid assessments
A total of 31 participants attended the training, enhancing the Delegation’s capacity to assess building safety following an earthquake.
