In a remarkable step towards strengthening earthquake preparedness, Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT) completed a three-day “Basic Seismic Retrofitting Technology (BSRT) Training” at Bhaisepati, Lalitpur, from October 16 to 18, 2023.
This intensive program trained 14 engineers and sub-engineers in earthquake resilience, covering techniques such as splint and bandage, jacketing, and RCC framed structure retrofitting.
Moreover, they gained comprehensive project management skills, enabling them to oversee retrofitting projects from inception to completion. The training incorporated various teaching methods led by Earthquake Safety Solutions (ESS) experts.
The knowledge and expertise acquired benefit the participants and enhance Nepal’s overall safety and resilience in the face of seismic challenges.
