Enhancing Safety: DHL Nepal’s One-Day Earthquake Preparedness and Risk Reduction Orientation Program for Staff in Collaboration with Earthquake Safety Solutions (ESS)

DHL Global Logistics and International Shipping Nepal held a one-day orientation program on “Earthquake Preparedness and Risk Reduction Measures” at their office in Sinamangal, Kathmandu, Nepal, on December 12th, 2023. The event, organized with the technical support of Earthquake Safety Solutions (ESS), aimed to raise awareness among the company’s staff about earthquake risks and equip them with essential knowledge and skills for preparedness. 40 dedicated DHL staff members actively participated in the program. The orientation covered topics such as earthquake risk in Nepal, risk reduction measures, preparedness for individual and collective safety, and earthquake evacuation drills. This program is designed to refresh the knowledge and skills of members who participated in a similar orientation program last year. DHL regularly organizes such events, and this refresher program provides an excellent opportunity to revisit key concepts and updates. This initiative demonstrates DHL Nepal’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its employees and the local community.
