The US Embassy in Kathmandu concluded two sets of one-day Rapid Damage Assessment of Building (DAT 1001) Training programs for its teams. With technical support from Earthquake Safety Solutions (ESS) and collaboration with the National Society for Earthquake Technology – Nepal (NSET). Participants were trained in Identify the building systems and typology, differentiate between the structural and non-structural building components, and Recognize the various damage patterns of the buildings. On March 6th, there were 22 participants (4 female, 18 male) and on March 7th, there were 28 participants (7 female, 21 male).
