TOT on National Building Code Implementation Concluded
To enhance the capacity of engineers and architects with advanced skills to instruct and facilitate National Building Code (NBC) training courses, @USAID’s Tayar Nepal in collaboration with @Department of Urban Development and Building Construction (DUDBC), @Earthquake Safety Solutions successfully completed the five-day Training of Trainers (TOT) on the NBC on July 29, 2024, in Kathmandu.
A total of 35 participants (11 female), including engineers and architects from DUDBC, federal project implementation units, the Ministry of Urban Development, and the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development from different provinces, participated in the TOT. Upon completing the training, the participants learned to apply principles of seismic design, architectural design, plumbing and sanitary design, and electrical design as outlined in NBC.
