Orientation on Earthquake Preparedness at KURVE Wustrow, Kathmandu
A successful one-day “Earthquake Preparedness and Risk Reduction Measures” orientation program concluded on August 6, 2024, at SAP Falcha, Babarmahal, Kathmandu, Nepal.
KURVE Wustrow organized the event with technical support from Earthquake Safety Solutions (ESS), which aimed to enhance earthquake awareness and preparedness among KURVE Wustrow staff in Nepal.
The program engaged 14 participants in learning about Nepal’s disaster landscape, earthquake causes and impacts, effective risk reduction strategies, and individual and collective safety preparedness against earthquakes. A practical earthquake evacuation drill was also conducted.
