Earthquake Preparedness & Fire Safety Orientation Conducted at Goethe Zentrum, Jawalakhel
On April 29, 2026, Earthquake Safety Solutions (ESS) conducted an orientation on Earthquake Preparedness and Fire Safety Measures for the staff and teachers of Goethe Zentrum (German Language School), Jawalakhel, Lalitpur.
A total of 21 staff members participated in the session, demonstrating the institution’s strong commitment to safety and disaster preparedness. The orientation aimed to enhance both knowledge and practical skills required to respond effectively during emergencies.
The session covered key topics, including: • Causes and impacts of earthquakes in Nepal • Non-structural mitigation measures in office settings • Preparedness actions before, during, and after earthquakes • Safe evacuation procedures and identification of assembly areas • Fire extinguisher operation and hands-on practice
The program concluded with a practical earthquake evacuation drill and fire extinguisher operation exercise, reinforcing the concepts shared during the session.
