Earthquake Safety Solutions (ESS) is social entrepreneurship registered with the Government of Nepal as a “company not distributing profit”. This company is established to work in reducing earthquake risks of existing buildings and physical infrastructures, promote safer building construction practices through research and development on approaches, methodologies, and appropriate technologies; and help communities build earthquake resilient through awareness raising, capacity building, and actions on risk reduction and preparedness.
ESS seeks applications from eligible candidates for the following positions. Interested candidates are requested to submit their application along with a cover letter and updated CV at admin@eqsafety.com.np no later than 17:30 hours, September 05, 2022.
Architect
No. of Positions: 1
Qualification: Bachelor’s in Architecture
Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a similar field
Location: Kathmandu with frequent site visits as and when required.
Skills:
Creative, a keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to see the bigger picture of a project
Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and building construction and site requirements
Excellent design and drafting skills and proficiency with computer-aided design (AutoCAD)
Competent in 3D visualization and rendering/illustration software (Sketch-up, Lumion, V-Ray, Photoshop)
Familiarity with Revit software is highly desirable
Good interpersonal and presentation skills
